Hope you'll find it helpful!  It's time to face first of them. ## Why Building a Custom App Takes More Than Just a Few Weeks App development timeline [initiates a lot of questions](https://www.quora.com/Can-you-develop-a-fully-functional-app-in-a-week?ch=10&share=1cd8a7ae&srid=KSxl7). Can we develop a fully functional app in a week? Or in 2-3 weeks?  It's nearly impossible to create an app in such a short time. Why is that? Many factors impact the custom app development timeline. The speed of web/mobile app development is related to the project's scope, implemented technology, integrations, platforms, and the number of specialists who participate in it.   So how long usually does it take to create an app from scratch? To create a basic app for one platform with a basic UI (without custom elements) with up to 5 screens, we will need two developers, one QA Specialist, and one U X/UI designer.
